Maars Living Walls' Launches First U.S. Production Facility
WRG is proud to highlight a major milestone for our partner, Maars Living Walls, with the opening of their first U.S. based manufacturing facility in the Charleston, South Carolina region earlier this year. This strategic expansion marks a significant step forward in Maars’ North American growth strategy and reinforces its commitment to delivering premium modular interior solutions closer to the markets it serves.
For more than 80 years, Maars has been a global leader in modular wall and door systems, known for combining design flexibility, acoustic performance, and sustainability. Establishing local production in the United States will enable faster lead times, enhanced support for the dealer network, and continued delivery of the high-quality standards that define the Maars brand worldwide.
The new facility represents a $3 million investment and is expected to create new jobs in the Charleston region. Designed to support growing demand across North America, the operation includes advanced manufacturing capabilities, localized glass production, and a state-of-the-art showroom, allowing clients, architects, and industry partners to experience Maars’ innovative architectural wall solutions firsthand.
This investment reflects Maars’ long-term vision of delivering future-ready, sustainable interior solutions while strengthening partnerships throughout North America. By bringing manufacturing closer to its customers, the company is further positioning itself to support evolving workplace, healthcare, education, and commercial environments with greater efficiency, responsiveness, and supply chain reliability.
Bringing Glass Fabrication Closer to Home
In addition to its advanced manufacturing capabilities, the facility is equipped with localized glass production, further enhancing Maars’ ability to serve the North American market with greater speed and flexibility. By bringing glass fabrication closer to its customers, Maars is streamlining the supply chain and significantly reducing lead times, with many products now available in as little as five weeks. This investment also paves the way for the launch of a new Quick Ship program, designed to provide faster access to select Maars solutions for projects with accelerated timelines—delivering the same industry-leading quality, precision, and performance with even greater responsiveness.
